Different Sides of Biodiesel
Biodiesel is a fuel that it is made by vegetable oils and animal fat. It was invented by G. Chavanne at 1937. Biodiesel is being used by many vehicles and industries, so it’s technology always needs to develop with the today’s technology. Biodiesel has been an important subject of debate since it was invented. Despite the widely claim that disadvantages of biodiesel it has economical and environmental advantages.
Firstly, it has been asserted that production of biodiesel destroy tropical forest. Reinhardt, Rettenmaier and Gartner claim that “The latest example is the so-called ‘Mega Oil Project’ a forest conversion project 1.8 million ha. that was planned on border between Kalimantan(Borneo) and the neighboring Malaysian states of Sarawak and
Considering a second argument commonly forwarded against biodiesel, it is causes starvation because biodiesel is produced by vegetables. It further asserted that biodiesel is produced by growing palm trees in rice farms. Some people claim that, research about biodiesel needs very high budgets because every new technology needs very large research and it causes to cost very high prices. It is true that growing palm trees in rice farms, however, Raymond states that lifetime of engines would be lengthen by applying oil of biodiesel (2006). Moreover biodiesel research do not cost high prices because biodiesel was founded by a ordinary person and he take its patent so research was studied his own possibilities. On the other hand, biodiesel is cheaper than diesel and you can produce in your garden so biodiesel is more useful and economic for your life. Keat states that” Some users are conservatives eager to decrease their dependence on foreign oil. Others are attracted because biodiesel is cheap and easy to make. “ (n.d.)
Finally , biodiesel is very important invention because petrol is a natural source and it has very big working area in our world. When petrol sources end, humanity will need different energy sources. I think this energy source will be biodiesel because it is not natural and it is renewable so everybody can produce it. On the other hand it id-s cheaper than diesel in the gas stations. That can help folk and governments because everybody complain about fuel prices.
In conclusion, using biodiesel would be harmful. Due to fact that, the results and experts say that it is beneficial for environment and economy. Very big piece of the machines working with fuel and it is very important for humanity. It will be end in the future so we have to take some precaution like renewable energy source biodiesel
